The Art of Alpine

Rather than looking back with nostalgia, Alpine has marked its 70th anniversary with a fresh artistic perspective. To close a year of celebrations spanning Dieppe, Goodwood, Le Mans and Rétromobile, the French marque has unveiled a striking photography book by photographer and artist Axel Ruhomaully.

Using light and shadow to sculpt each car, Ruhomaully's images transform Alpine's heritage collection into something more akin to automotive art than documentation. Every photograph highlights the purity of the marque's forms, celebrating the design language that has defined Alpine from the original A110 to today's A290, A390 and A110 R Ultime.

The publication serves as a visual archive of an anniversary year that celebrated both Alpine's rich motorsport heritage and its electric future. More than a commemorative book, it's a reminder that great automotive photography doesn't just capture cars – it reveals the emotion, proportion and character that make them enduring design icons.
