Sean Wotherspoon’s Land Rover Art Car
Few vehicles wear colour quite as confidently as this 1958 Land Rover Series II, reimagined by celebrated designer Sean Wotherspoon and brought to life by British customiser Jimmy Howson’s Stuff by Spot.
Taking cues from the cult Volkswagen Harlequin, the classic Land Rover trades traditional utilitarian restraint for a kaleidoscope of colour, paired with a bespoke patchwork interior finished in Wotherspoon’s signature mix of plaid, denim and texture. The result is a playful collision of British off-road heritage and contemporary streetwear culture.
Built on a left-hand-drive export-spec Series II and upgraded with Wolf wheels, BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres and modern Apple CarPlay connectivity, the one-off creation debuted at Monterey Car Week in 2025. Equal parts artwork, design statement and capable classic, it stands as one of the most distinctive Land Rovers ever built.
This striking 1958 Land Rover Series II by Sean Wotherspoon will feature as part of RM Sotheby’s upcoming Woodcote Park Auction, taking place on the 8th July 2026.
