The B-road Beast

Developed by Boreham Motorworks under official licence from Ford, the new Escort Mk1 RS is a ground-up reimagining of one of Britain's most celebrated performance cars. Limited to just 150 examples worldwide, it aims to capture the analogue driving purity that made the original RS legend.

Lightweight, rear-wheel drive and free from modern driving aids, the Mk1 RS has been engineered with a singular focus: maximum driver engagement on real roads. No drive modes, no digital filters, just direct steering, a responsive engine and a chassis designed to come alive on a flowing B-road.

Rather than recreating the past, Boreham has sought to continue the RS story, blending classic character with modern engineering, reliability and precision. The result is a car that feels less like a restomod and more like the Escort RS Ford might have built had the lineage never ended.
