Peugeot x Rim’K
A quarter of a century after one of French rap’s most iconic moments, Peugeot has brought the legendary 504 estate back to life – packed with meaning, music and unmistakable style. In a striking one-off creation revealed during Rim’K’s performance at the Flammes 2025 awards, Peugeot paid tribute to the group 113 and their unforgettable 2000 appearance at the Victoires de la Musique – when the trio rolled onto stage in a Peugeot 504 straight from their Tonton du Bled video. It was a moment that fused automotive heritage with hip-hop culture, etching itself into the collective memory of a generation.
The result? A reinterpretation that’s more than just a styling exercise – it’s a cultural artefact. The reimagined 504 is full of visual nods to its roots: from classic blue suitcases strapped to the roof, evoking family road trips, to seats upholstered in a fabric inspired by Tati’s iconic pink-and-blue check. Most impressively, there’s a bespoke turntable integrated into the dashboard – a physical embodiment of music at the heart of the journey.
That turntable, the PP1, is the work of Jean-Baptiste Anotin, founder of Paris-based studio WAITING FOR IDEAS. Machined from solid aluminium, it offers a tactile, immersive listening experience that’s as considered as the rest of the build.
With this project, Peugeot doesn’t just nod to the past – it reaffirms its place in the emotional and cultural fabric of modern France.
