Reinventing a DTM legend

The HWA EVO made its much-anticipated public debut during this year’s Nürburgring 24 Hour race, marking the first time fans had the chance to see the car in action. Two development prototypes, currently in testing with Bosch Engineering, completed demonstration laps on the legendary Nordschleife at key moments throughout the week in the build up to the race.

Built from the ground up by HWA’s team, the EVO is a modern reinterpretation of the iconic Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evo II. Just 100 units will be produced, each delivering a raw, driver-focused experience through the clever integration of modern technology and materials, all while staying true to the spirit of the original DTM legend.

The two prototypes didn’t just impress with performance, their appearance turned heads too. One wore a reimagined version of the classic Silver Distel (Silver Thistle), a reinterpretation of a legendary hue, while the second will nod to the company’s unrivalled motorsport heritage with a racing livery inspired by an iconic DTM race car.
