Straight out of the 70s
Rezvani’s new venture, Rezvani Retro, is all about bringing classic automotive legends into the present day, and its first creation, the RR1, does exactly that. Inspired by the all-conquering Porsche 935 of the 1970s, the RR1 channels the spirit of endurance racing while being built on the bones of Porsche’s modern day 992.
The result is a car that looks to the past but drives firmly in the present. A full carbon-fibre body keeps the weight down, while buyers can choose between a manual gearbox or Porsche’s PDK transmission. Power output ranges from 600 to 750bhp, making the RR1 every bit as ferocious as it looks.
The silhouette recalls the turbocharged monsters we once pinned to our bedroom walls, but under the skin lies modern reliability, precision engineering and everyday usability. It’s more than a restomod, it’s a bridge between eras, a machine that turns nostalgia into something you can actually drive.
Rezvani Retro plans to revive more icons in this way, but the RR1 sets the tone: classic design, modern performance, and a reminder of why we fell in love with cars in the first place.
