Famed and fabled, the Boss Mustang is the pinnacle of Ford’s pony car production. Seldom seen yet well known, Boss Mustangs were some of the most unique Mustangs ever built. Semon 'Bunkie' Knudsen spearheaded the Boss project to homologate the new 'Semi Hemi' 429 engine for NASCAR regulations, and produce a car eligible to compete in the Trans Am series. Larry Shinoda was largely responsible for styling the Boss, and in 1970, when the Mustang was lightly restyled, the Boss followed suite. Just 499 Boss 429s were sold in 1970. This is one of them.
