Singer x Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton and Singer have teamed up to create two extraordinary Porsche 911s, bringing together the fashion house’s design heritage with Singer’s obsessive approach to reimagining the classic 911. The collaboration began with a bespoke Louis Vuitton Tambour dashboard clock, before expanding into a complete rethink of both cars.

The first is a 911 Classic reimagined by Singer, based on a Type 964 coupé and finished in Louis Vuitton’s saffron and cobalt blue. Its 4.0 litre naturally aspirated flat-six and six-speed manual transmission are complemented by a bespoke roof rack carrying Louis Vuitton travel equipment, including a surfboard and skis.

Inside, natural leather, yellow stitching and diamond-patterned embossing reference the House’s luggage, while the dashboard instruments adopt the graphic language of the Tambour watch. Even the smallest controls have been individually finished using techniques borrowed from fine watchmaking.

The second car is a very different proposition. Conceived by Louis Vuitton Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière, the 911 Classic Turbo reimagined by Singer is a Type 964 cabriolet finished in Calcaire Lutétien white, combining natural leather, varnished wood and gold detailing inspired by classic motorboats.

Its 3.8 litre twin-turbo flat-six and six-speed manual transmission sit beneath lightweight carbon-fibre bodywork, while a wooden rear deck and bespoke luggage compartment continue the nautical theme.

Both cars come with extensive Louis Vuitton capsule collections, from driving jackets and helmets to watches, luggage and bespoke key holders. The project also revives the House’s long-standing relationship with motoring, which stretches back to the specialised automobile trunks it produced from the late 19th century.
