Porsche x Apple

Porsche is bringing a slice of motorsport history back to the grid for the latest round of the IMSA SportsCar Championship at Laguna Seca, California, with a special livery inspired by the iconic Apple Computer colours.

The Porsche 963 entries from Porsche Penske Motorsport will run a design that nods to the 1980 Porsche 935 K3, famously campaigned by Dick Barbour Racing in Apple’s rainbow-striped livery, which included the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The one-off look marks two milestones: 75 years of Porsche Motorsport and 50 years since the founding of Apple. Nicely, Laguna Seca sits just down the road from Apple Park, and has long been a spiritual home for Porsche in North America thanks to events like the Porsche Rennsport Reunion.
