Salzburg-inspired Carrera GT
Porsche’s Sonderwunsch programme has delivered something properly special: a factory re-commissioned Carrera GT finished in iconic Salzburg red and white. Owned by Puerto Rican collector Victor Gómez, the 2005 supercar has been completely stripped back, rebuilt to as-new condition and reimagined as a modern tribute to Porsche’s Le Mans-winning 917 from 1970, the car that sealed the marque’s first overall victory at La Sarthe.
Adapting the Salzburg livery to the Carrera GT was no simple vinyl job. Porsche designers reworked the graphics from scratch to suit the GT’s very different proportions, before hand-painting the Guards Red and white finish and sealing it beneath protective film so it can be driven as intended. Matt black carbon details, from roof panels to diffuser, helps sharpen the contrast, while black wheels with coloured Porsche crests complete the look.
Inside, the brief is just as bold. Guards Red Alcantara covers much of the cabin, paired with matt carbon and motorsport-grade textiles lifted from the 918 Spyder. The result is a Carrera GT with zero kilometres on the clock, rebuilt by the factory and tailored to one owner’s vision, a rare blend of heritage, craftsmanship and modern Porsche obsession.
