Ken Block 1967-2023

Since starting Ecurie back in 2015 we’ve always strived to share the best content associated with car culture and the creativity that surrounds it. One person that personified this was Ken Block. This week we lost Block, after a tragic snowmobile accident in Utah’s Wasatch County.

Block began his rallying career in 2005, but it was his incredible Gymkhana YouTube videos that would really propel him to stardom. Racking up hundreds of millions of views with unique cars, courses and stunts, the Gymkhana videos have helped inspire a generation of petrolheads.

Block was also a co-founder of DC Shoes and ‘Head Hoonigan in Charge’ at his company Hoonigan Industries and the Hoonigan Racing Division. He had competed in rally – including the WRC, rallycross, classic rallying, the X Games and many more motorsport disciplines.
