The Art of Syd Mead
At the end of last year iconic futurist and conceptual artist Syd Mead died at the age of 86. His highly original work was brought to life in movies such as Blade Runner, Tron and Aliens. In addition to films and TV series, Mead also worked for corporate companies like Ford, Honda, Volvo, Philips and US Steel, providing bold illustrations of the future that transported onlookers into a new dimension. His influence is legendary and has echoed throughout cyberpunk and science fiction genres.
