Designed by Elwood Engel, the 1961–1963 Ford Thunderbird sported attractive new styling, with pointed front wings, blade-like tailfins and large circular taillights. Nicknamed 'Bullet Birds' they are one of the most popular Thunderbird generations, revered for their smooth performance that matches their elegant appearance; they are considered one of the styling landmarks of their generation, and their build quality is outstanding.
