The Art of After the Race
After the Race is a partnership born from a 30 year friendship between Belgians Jean-Denis Claessens, a graphic designer, entrepreneur and car lover, and Edmond Thonnard, aka. Pogo, a painter and street artist. Together they create these unique handmade tributes to famous racing cars from days gone by.
Using a real bonnet or door from a Porsche or other featured marque, each piece is individually created using graffiti art techniques. The patina detail is then added using oil, rubber and other ingredients to give it that feel of just finishing an endurance race at Le Mans or maybe even their native Spa Francorchamps.
